Dear Santa Fe Habitat Volunteers & Supporters,

With the surge in COVID-19 cases and the presence of the Omicron variant in the Santa Fe community, Santa Fe Habitat for Humanity has revised our COVID-19 Volunteer Policy to ensure the safety of our volunteers, staff, and Partner Families. We ask all volunteers to exercise an abundance of caution at this time and follow the below quarantine and vaccination requirements in order to mitigate the risk of COVID-19 transmission at Santa Fe Habitat for Humanity volunteer sites (i.e. Build Site, ReStore, or administrative office). Please be aware there is no guarantee of zero risk to work activities at any volunteer site – assess your own safety before deciding whether or not to continue volunteering. If you have any questions regarding our COVID-19 Volunteer Policy, please contact the Director of Volunteer & Family Services, Lucas Brooks, at lucas@santafehabitat.org, or by calling (505) 986-5880 ext.102.

Vaccination Requirement

All volunteers must provide proof of being fully-vaccinated for COVID-19 to volunteer at any Santa Fe Habitat volunteer site. The “fully-vaccinated” requirement includes the receipt of a booster shot (if eligible) to be approved for volunteering. To determine booster eligibility, please visit https://cv.nmhealth.org/covid-vaccine/.

Volunteers who were previously approved by Santa Fe Habitat and have since received a booster are required to re-submit their proof of vaccination with a booster date included.

Volunteers who are eligible but have not yet received a booster will be permitted to continue volunteering after having provided proof of a scheduled booster appointment to take place no later than February 17th.

Volunteers ineligible for a booster but fully vaccinated are able to continue volunteering with Santa Fe Habitat. Such volunteers should submit updated proof of vaccination to Santa Fe Habitat for Humanity as soon as they are eligible for a booster.

Proof of vaccination may be submitted via email to kaleb@santafehabitat.org, or presented in-person to a Santa Fe Habitat staff member at a volunteer site.
