The mission of Santa Fe Habitat for Humanity is to promote affordable home ownership for Santa Fe area residents by constructing simple, adequate, and energy efficient new homes and repairing or rehabilitating existing homes through the cooperative efforts of partner families, volunteers, donors, and staff.
It takes every cent of every donation, every minute of volunteer time, and every family that desires a better standard of living, for our program to be successful.
Donors allow our organization to purchase land and materials to build homes. It is very simple: your donation becomes the physical manifestation of hope for many families.
Volunteers donate time to build homes for families in need. Whether you build on-site, help out in the office, meet with a committee, or work in the ReStore, you are contributing a very valuable resource: your time.
Partner Families provide dedication, ‘sweat equity’, and the willingness to form a meaningful partnership that creates a tangible feeling of hope:
- Hope for a better future;
- Hope for stable and affordable homeownership;
- Hope for their children;
- Hope for our community.
